About 7 years after being given the S n’ B book as a gift and falling in love with this sweater I am finally making it for myself.

20/04/12: Front finished and now working the back. The acres of stocking stitch I am loving, as a combination knitter it’s going very quick :-). Working as for medium but for large for the length (19 inches) as I don’t want it too short.

23/04/12: Front, back, neck and one sleeve done, just need to do the second sleeve and seam up. For the neck I picked up 60 sts as the number given wasn’t working for me. For the armholes I was pretty careful with picking up stitches not to take in too much of the fabric and keep it quite loose or I could see they would be quite tight. Sleeve length I have chopped 3 inches off the recommended length otherwise they would be so long (maybe I just have short arms!).

24/04/12: Finished all the knitting sewing up tomorrow.

25/04/12: Completed, love it! Will take some photos :-))

Note: It took 5 balls of the black Wendy Mode Chunky (100g balls) using 6.5mm needles, and less than half a ball of the white.

uh oh….daughter loves it…guess I’ll be making another then!
