Notes

Jenny is the daughter of Lucy, creator of Little Box of Crochet and she is terminally ill with cancer. Her wish is to decorate her coffin with flowers and the shoutout is going around social media to all make a flower and send to Little Box of Crochet, Atlantic Business Centre, Atlantic Street, Altrincham, UK, WA14 5NQ

Flower 1: (red and yellow)

ch6, ss in first
4ch (counts as first treble crochet), 23 treble crochet around loop. ss in first. Fasten off first colours.
Attach second colour and work sc around.ss in first
ch5, treble in same. ch3, 7dc in treble just worked. sc in next. Repeat around. sc in same as first.
ss through first 3 chains on ch5 of first petal and sc1 in loop. Ch2, sc in loop of next petal. Repeat around. ss in first sc. Fasten off.

Flower 2: (green and pink)

Ch 98 in green. Dc in 8th chain from hook. (ch2, dc) to end. Turn.
ch3, sc in next dc, ch5, sc in same dc, (ch2, sc in next dc) twice, ch5, sc in same dc repeat until 6 loops are made. Ch2, sc in next dc. Turn.
6 dc in ch5 loop, picot (ch3, ss in first ch), 6 dc in ch5 loop, ss in next sc. Repeat to end. Fasten off green.
Go back to first (dc-ch2-dc) space, attach petal colour. ch3, 2dc, ch3, ss in next dc. Repeat 10 times.
ch4, 3tr, ch4, ss in next dc. Repeat 7 times. Fasten off.
Start rolling the petals in, sewing them together with small stitches at the back. Finish with the 6 leaves all around the flower.
