Worked 22 shell rows overall (around 27 cm long).
Hat is 22 cm wide, laid flat.
For headband:
row 1 - ch1, sc in next st, #(sc in ch2 space, sc in next st, sc in space between two consecutive shells, sk next st, sc in next). Continue from # all around.
row 2 (decrease) - ch1, sc in next, sc2tog. Repeat all around.
row 3 - dc around
row 4 - ch3, fpdc in next, bpdc in next. Repeat around.
row 5 - ch3, fpdc in fpdc, bpdc in bpdc. Repeat around.
Continue working as row 5 until headband has desired length (I made 5 fpdc/bpdc rows). End with a row of sc around.
It makes a tight headband but it will stretch quickly.
