Like somebody else said, I’m not a big fan of video tutorials either, so I just followed written instructions from someone else’s project.
Did 66 rows for band, ending with a 54cm long band which turned out to be a little too much because it’s somewhat stretchy. Will do it smaller next time.
Then worked out 18 rows for hat body, giving it a length of 26cm overall, band included and after finishing. This makes a good length if you want it to hang a bit at the back.
