Notes

Using US #5 needles. My gauge is always too large with double knitting.

Used chain cast on holding both colors together. If they were not in the right order I passed the correct color over the other color on the first row.

I am working the fleur-de-lis from the top of the chart as per the pattern notes.

Trying something different for the double knitting technique. When working the most common method I find my purl side comes out looser and it makes my hands hurt. Working each row twice. First time I knit with the main color slipping the alternate color with the yarn in front. On the next pass I turn it inside out using the alternate color slipping the main color, and working the chart from the other side.

Used chart 1a and 1b for bottom portion. I am using chart 3 for the middle.

02-10-2016

Using chart 5 for the top.

02-11-2016

Starting with round 9 I went back to the traditional double knitting- using both colors at the same time.
