I love, love, love this pattern. The ripples provide a great rhythm (up, down, up, down), and it’s so easy to keep track of (just count to four as you do the stitches: four going up, four at the “top” of the hill, four on the way down, and four in the “valley”).

The interlocking colors are an easy repeating pattern of AABABBCBCCDC, and so forth.

I was inspired by Lucy’s coastal blanket and wanted to make one for my family after our summer vacation in Florida. But I’ve named it “Ocean Isle” after a beautiful beach and popular childhood destination in my homestate of NC.
