I’m planning on using the Pyrenees Diamond Knitting from the rigolette Godey’s published earlier that year for the openwork part of this.

22 December--I’m on the lace! I’m using a 2.5 mm needle (apparently a size 1.5) for that. I didn’t like it on the size 6, and that was my next size down. I finished the base a few days ago but had to order the lace weight. The cobweb I had was too thin, the fingering too thick.

28 December--It’s very close to being done! And see that picture right above the first pom pom making picture? Well, don’t do the lace one side at a time. It’s bias. It has to be in the round. I started over with the size 6 needles I didn’t like before, only, well, I really like them for it. I guess it needed a little size behind it to look good :)

28 December--It’s done! Better pictures and hitting the done button tomorrow :)
