Notes

Love love love this cardi. It was so fun to knit too. Very well written pattern and easy to follow. A quick and easy knit, it took about one week to complete, mostly knit on a driving trip. I think this will be super fun to wear plus it’s cuter in person than in the pictures. It’s swingy and fun when walking.

Now for the yarn, it was a dream to knit. Hard to believe this is machine washable, right? It’s very soft and has the great springyness that you expect from fine merino. This feels great next to the skin.

I knit the sleeves flat, anything to avoid 4 needles. I got gauge with size 7 needles, not size 9 like the pattern recommends. For the front panels, I cast on 17 instead of the recommended 27.

I bought the yarn from Jimmy Beans. They were great, free shipping and it arrived two days later! I am going to Reno soon and hope to go to their store. I went years ago and remember it to be small. I think they may have grown now, they seem to pop up all over the internet these days.
