Notes

Use 42g slate, 8g mink and 22g Koigu KPM (the remaining 107g of which will be used for the Starting Point Shawl).

Also, because the 8g mink only got me through 11rows of 20, apparently ribbing of 2 socks takes 15-16g of yarn

Sock Sections - Approx weights needed to make 2 socks of fingering yarn:

Toe: 6g
2” cuff: 16g
Heel Segment: FILL IN
Body (sock leg and foot, minus the heel flap and heel, and minus the toe): FILL IN

Note that I’ve opted to use a bit of my remainder of TurtlePurl in the black and white colourway (@8g) to round out the cuff since the mink wasn’t enough for the cuff.

So, as I made these on vacation - without my scale - I had a bit of a mess up with the amounts of yarn I actually had to play with - which affected the widths of the colour bands. I used up too much of the SG Slate on sock 1 so I ran out about an inch too soon on the sock foot (3-4g?) and had to start using the Koigu, reserved for the heel and toe section, that one inch sooner than anticipated. The socks have a hipster vibe. This was a really effective stash buster. I don’t have an inch left of either SG yarn.

Decided to keep these for myself and I love them. All of the yarns are wearing really well even with washer and dryer.
