Notes

Do the tubular cast on you tried for sock 38 but make sure you cast on 4 additional stitches in the rib section (64st vs 60) Then decrease 8st in the first row of stockinette to make the body 56 st. Use US1 needle this time a) to ensure more stretch in rib and b) to make the body slightly less snug than it has been in US0

This seems to have worked well re:stretch but man, it’s a pain in the ass to do this cast on in the round.

Toe Section
10R: Mauve - Toe begins on R3, R5, R7, R9
10R: Blue - Toe R1, R3, R5, R7, R9

For future ref - with sock yarn:

2 socks require 25g or approx 12g each of the colour that you start with (the one that you do the rib with, and part of the gusset)

2 socks require 20-22g or 11g per sock of the second colour - the one that does the heel and toe

2 socks require 20g or 10g per sock of the third colour (that does part of the gusset but none of the other heavy lifting). This is more than you need by about 4g but good to have extra if weight requires…
