Notes

Started toe decreases at 7.25”

I believe I did the cuff on a US 2, because I thought I would make the socks for Scott but changed my mind when I realized that he won’t hand wash them and I’m not convinced that these can go in washer and dryer. I intend to wear them for a while (hand wash) before giving it a go.

After cuff, worked in US1.

Note, for future reference - if you knit socks for yourself again with this yarn (depending on how they wear), do the whole thing on US1 (nothing on US2). Also, consider going back to a 7” foot length instead of 7.25 (since these socks seem a bit roomy, if totally wearable). Def, the cuff is too large. More even than changing the length, do a 60st CO and decrease to 56 st (as you would normally do with one of your socks).

KristinM100's star rating
KristinM100's adjectives for this yarn
  1. Very soft, very drapy - it grows a lot once blocked
  2. Did not wear well - holes appeared quickly / Wouldn't use for socks again / This yarn will felt if put in the dryer (but that may help to stabilize the stitches if you only do it once)
  3. There's something very slippery about it, prob re: superwash treatment, and it doesn't work well on US1 needles (it splits). US 1.5 to US 2 work well. Since you can't put it in the dryer (as far as I know), this won't be a go-to yarn.
