MC Regia grey
CC1 - Katia brown
CC2 - Sonder pink

  • For ref: Used 10g of CC1 (Katia) after doing 2 stripes and heel on both socks.

  • Running low on MC yarn (prob won’t have enough to get to 5.3” on the foot). So: Try to get to 53R with the grey MC. If that works then do 5R CC1 followed by 5R CC2 (confirm at 5.25”) followed by continuing with CC2 to do toe decreases. You’ll probably have enough CC2 to do 5R x 2.

  • If you’re short of 53R, depending on how short, you’ll likely want to add in 1 5R stripe of acid green on both socks and/or increase the depth of the brown colour on the toe aka, start the colourway 5R (or whatever number works) before beginning the decreases in that same colour. Then, as long as you get to ~43R with the MC, you should be able to make it work. Update: Surprisingly I got to 51R which, in this very fine yarn, doesn’t yield quite the same length at that row count as more robust fingering yarns. 51R brings me to a foot body of 4.5”, not 5.3”. So, I need another .75” before beginning toe decrease section. I’ll do 5R with CC1, 5R with CC2 and then start toe decreases…

  • Additionally, to ameliorate the lack of MC, I made the leg 5” long instead of 6” (but didn’t reposition the 3 stripes to account for this. It doesn’t look bad, happily.
