Notes

MC - Isager khaki (need 43g - 45g for 2 socks)
CC1 - Blue (need 13g for heel, toe and 2 stripes on 2 socks) - I have 11g total
CC2 - Green(need 5g for 2 stripes on 2 socks) - I have 10g total

  • I’ve opted to do the 3 stripes on the leg (with blue as CC1 and green as CC2). I’m going to be a couple of grams short of the blue - to use it for both toes and heels. As such, I’ll do one heel in green and one in blue OR I’ll do both heels in blue and both toes in green.

  • There’s a vague possibility that I’ll have enough yarn left over to also do one stripe before the toe in the contrast colours, but that remains to be seen… Opted not to do this…

CO 60 st

Leg:
20R 2x2 rib MC
5R CC1
5R CC2
5R CC1
25R MC (6” leg)

FLK heel - 11 / 8 / 11 - CC1

Foot: Knit foot till 5.5” or even 5.75”

60R MC (5.6” from back of heel) This is actually long enough for a woman’s sock. Part of me wanted to knit this longer - to make a men’s sock and to get rid of the Isager yarn (which I do NOT like). But it’s only 60st in circ so I don’t think that will work. Remember - you have to decide on men’s sock at the CO.

Toe CC2 - not enough of the blue left to use CC1. ssk/k2tog

KristinM100's adjectives for this yarn
  1. I'll never work with this yarn again - it's awful.
  2. Absurdly splitty and hairy in an unpleasant way
  3. I wonder if it comes with spinning grease on it given the weird lotion-y hand,
