Notes

I opted to un-knit this project as I never wore it. I’ll use the yarn for socks (it is sock yarn after all).

For someone who doesn’t like knitting this, I sure am giving it my knitterly attention… :-) But now that I’ve given both of my previous versions to my mother, I do need one for myself. When my kid sees this, it may be hers… Something tells me I may even make this a 4th time. Crazy.

Having made this 3 times, it’s pretty knowable (though I inevitably have to correct a knitting error here or there - and one of them, in this version, is at the spine of the piece). I hope my fix is adequate so that it doesn’t look wonky at that spot.

While the lacework is easy to follow at this point, l find this project quite hard on the hands…

Also - at this point, I think the xs is the best size for me given how I like a high neck, I’m narrow through shoulders and my pref is to wear it point forward, as a cowl. That’s the best size for me to meet these needs.

I may make my next version, should I undertake a next version, with a stitch count half way between the xs and s. This current version (accurate photo to follow) is the small and just did fewer rows (254st at bind off vs 264st for small - and 250 for xs), to keep the length shorter, but it changes the proportion of the finished garment and the triangle is wider than I prefer on my frame.
