Notes

This is my second of this project. I’m using a yarn with much more drape (and, I think, less spring) but having the same gauge. It will be interesting to see how it knits up.

Feb 22:I’ve just blocked the body and opted not to pin as I’ve used blocking wires. Last time I did both but I don’t think it’s necessary, esp. as I intend to shrink the sweater dimensions as it dries in the blocking process. I LOVE this yarn but it bleeds dye when you wash it like crazy. Use a dark towel!

Feb 28: Wow, I used every last inch of 4 skeins of this yarn. I’d bought 5 but I didn’t need the last one. Well, technically, my pull-through loop is a bit short, but the fabric is very drapey so I think it will be fine. I love it when there’s no waste! And the garment, while quite different than the last one I made (it’s much drapier and less springy) is beautiful in its own way.
