I actually LOVE doing stranded colour work - it’s like casting a spell, it takes tremendous focus but you can’t overthink it. I can see this is a kind of core knitting skill (2-handed stranded knitting) that takes time to develop.

OMG - I LOVE this thing. It was so fun to knit, very clear pattern - strangely simple given how complicated the colour work pattern is (fortunately it’s just stockinette in the round and no need to work fitting into this project). I highly recommend it.

Definitely, I have a lot to learn yet. My floats are quite loose in some spots and my ribbing / cast off are also too loose - particularly the cast off in k1p1. I hope to gain more skill as I reknit this in 2 additional colourways - candy cane red and white and navy and white. I think this is a perfect Xmas gift and, even for someone new to fair isle, it’s a fast project (well, I’m compulsive sometimes but it’s not a big project and it’s not overly complex.
