To go with the Rambler scarf…

These fit small and the thumb/gusset are kind of strangely done. I don’t like it as much as the Vancouver Special Half Mitts I made in Misti Alpaca Chunky. The reason I made these is a) they’re in the same yarn as scarves I’ve done to go with them and that yarn is not chunky, it’s worsted and b) the are longer in the hand i.e. better for a man’s hand.

Still, these on a 7 needle were too small for my husband. I will give them one more try on a larger needle and or with a couple more stitches on the needles before I give a final opinion. Right now, as these block, I’m totally on the fence.

Opted not to make another pair but to modify the Vancouver Specials with info learned from this project. IMO, that glove has a much nicer groove and the gusset is both prettier and easier.
