Notes

MC - Sunday Morning Flat White

CC1: J&S Yuglet - Brown (Fingering, hold single)
CC2: Sonder Luna - Pink (Lace, hold triple)
CC3: Espace Tricot - Sandcastle (Fingering, hold double)
CC4: Hearth Sock - Moss (Fingering, hold double)
CC5: Julie Asselin Fino - Pink (Fingering, hold single)

  • Given my previous notes, I’m going to work an additional 8R (or 4 garter bumps) before starting and after completing the first and last colour blocks. It will help me to use up the main yarn and will make the scarf a smidge longer (which might work well if this is gifted to a guy).

  • Note that this used 8g x2 of the lace-weight held triple, 8g per colour block.

  • Note that I used the Woolly Mammoth Moss double stranded for the first colour block but felt it was way too stiff. So for the second block, I just used one strand. I guess we’ll see if that’s noticeable… (Also influenced the amount of yarn used 13.3g for the first block and 6.6g for the second…) Update: Single strand created a better fabric, not that the double strand is problematic.

  • This version used 233g of yarn total. I wouldn’t work the main colour in a yarn thicker than DK were I to make this again (and it’s a really great pattern so I likely will make it again).

Pre-blocked Dimensions: 62” long / 11.5” wide (but it’s hard to determine this exactly because the garter/stockinette combo creates a bubbly fabric until blocked…)

Post-blocked: Dimensions: ?“ long / ?” wide

KristinM100's adjectives for this yarn
  1. Beautifully, naturally dyed
  2. Seems quite strong (but wear will tell)
  3. While I can feel the energy in this yarn, it's not easy on the hands. The yarn doesn't slip on the needles (even metal ones). As such, it can't be my go-to yarn but I will knit with it sometimes.
