Notes

I don’t think this yarn is optimal for a hat. It’s splitty (so hard to work with given this sort of textured pattern that switches from knits to purls in different patterns but consistently). It doesn’t have great recovery because it’s llama.

I wouldn’t buy this yarn again because it’s just too splitty.

On the topic of the hat pattern, it’s well enough written but a chart would have been easier to follow. I didn’t find this project in any way relaxing as the pattern (while not complicated) changed frequently.

Moreover, prior to blocking, with this yarn, the textured pattern isn’t overly observable - even though the 2-ply yarn is light-grey. There’s too much tweed/natural marl in the wool. Can’t say yet how it will wear but it’s unlikely I’ll make this hat again.

Pompom took 10g of yarn.
