Xmas knitting x 1

This is my first foray into knitting stripes… Using this tutorial to assist: http://project-hallway.com/2012/09/06/knitting-tutorial-h...

I do like this scarf - and the stitch definition is beautiful. It is a pretty heavy scarf (in terms of weight, not vibe). And, though it was fun to knit in stripes, knitting a flat, stockinette/2x2 rib scarf is an exercise in tedium.

Wondering how I’ll block this…

I wish I’d made this wider and longer. I also wish that I’d cut the yarn in a weak spot because it ended up getting a large hole and fixing it invisibly was very challenging (cuz I don’t have any of this yarn remaining). Nonetheless, this still gets worn.
