Notes

Looking forward to making a classic, chic garment with some really special yarn…

This yarn does feel fantastic and the pattern is easy enough (though it does require concentration). But this seems endless right about now. This is going to be a fairly huge shawl…

Fuck, this is SO tedious. I know that the finished object will be gorgeous and feel fantastic, so I’m sticking with it. I also know I’m going to give it to my mother for her 70th bday and that’s making me less inclined to continue with the boredom cuz I know I won’t be the one to love it in the end! But I bought enough of the yarn to make another version of this for myself. If I can ever be bothered!

So, I don’t know if I’ll ever forget how boring and tedious this was to knit - which is unfortunate, because I sense the wet-blocking finished object is going to be totally gorgeous and I’m giving it away. On the plus side, I have almost 10 more skeins of this gorgeous yarn to repurpose on another project, if I can’t stand to re-engage with this one.

Can’t confirm things till the finished object is dried, but I really hope this yarn is going to block spectacularly.

This is all that and a bag of chips. Looks as luxe as it feels. Honestly, if you came by this at a boutique it would retail at 600 bucks.

My mother wore this today and I was blown away by how gorgeously it drapes, how utterly soft it feels, how nicely (and elegantly) the yarn has bloomed. It looks fantastic - so much so that, even though I disliked knitting this (so tedious), I’ve decided that I must make one for myself using the residual stash of this I purchased once I realized how fantastic this yarn is. One of my faves, ever.
