The reason that I gave this pattern 4 (rather than 5) stars isn’t because I don’t love the end result - it’s great - but the instructions could have been put together better. And the couple spans of edges (that don’t have any stitches picked up against them, but slipping first stitch isn’t instructed) look rather amateur because the pattern says “knit” (and neglects to remind the knitter to continue in the P1 first stitch pattern). I’ll fix that issue this time around, but I wish the pattern had considered this and addressed it.

Remember, when you make this again, purl first stitch in all sections (including the ones that will form the outside edge of the scarf (that aren’t bound off).
