In the long waiting time between round of the Sock Madness I missed a mindless tv-knit. In dont have enough solid colours left, so it has to be an otherwise useless yarn. So I picked my neverending cone of acrylic that looks like hand spun wool ;-)

In wanted something easy, but not plain/vanilla. This pattern has been in my library for a long time, and it fit the bill.

Turned out to be toe up, which I don’t really like, but it’s okay. Unfortunately the pattern just says ‘make a short row heel’, and since I usually avoid those like the plague, having a high instep, I went skiing and did a German short row, since I could not find a description of the recommended fish lips kiss heel.

I had to fumble a bit, since German short rows is not my forte either, but somehow I managed, and now I am starting on the leg. I will also use a different, more stretchy cast off.
