Started yesterday and finished hat except for weaving in ends and adding braids.

I used Lion Brand WETQ for all colors except green. I used Yarn Bee Andes Alpaca doubled for the green.

I made the hat portion first and added earflaps after.

Cast on the larger size (56) with 8mm circulars and followed pattern thru Round 13.

Round 14: I continued to finish the white, but added the green back in and finished colorwork here as recipient wanted it like the photo she sent.

Rounds 15-20 Stitch counts as charted, but solid green.

Skipped to Round 23 and completed rounds 23-28 as charted. (I might have accidentally skipped a round, though.)

Repeated round 28 once to make up for skipped round and completed round 29 as charted.

Earflaps: I placed markers for earflaps at 9 stitches each with 14 stitches between them in the back and 24 stitches between them in the front.

I used a 6mm crochet hook to pull loops through the 9 stitches and transferred to 5.5 mm circular needles and followed pattern to complete earflaps.
