My daughter saw a sunflower cardigan that’s been going around social media and wanted me to make it for her.
Basic How to: https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/comments/iwnb9j/made_a_s...
I am using this pattern for the first 4 rounds of the square: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag490n1Vmts
Round 5 is one dc in each dc around placing 3dc, ch2, 3dc in each ch 2 space. (corners)
Back panel: 16 squares
Front panels (2): 8 squares each
Sleeves (2): 9 squares each
Seamed with slip stitches on the wrong sides of the squares through back loops only. I first seamed front panels to back panel at the top and then seamed the sleeves to the front and back panels at the shoulder. I then steam blocked it flat before seaming up the sides and down the sleeves.
I used back loop dc ribbing for collar and sleeve cuffs.
Squares are about 6”
Round 1 is in brown, rounds 2 and 3 are in yellow and rounds 4 and 5 are in green.
5/5/21 Made one square for gauge. 6’’ and started making the centers.
Estimating 16 squares for back panel, 8 for each front panel, and 9 for each sleeve. Total of 50 six inch squares.
