Great pattern! Well written and easy to understand. I sometimes had a little difficulty in determining which stitch to crochet into initially after turning in the round. This is my first attempt at making slippers.

I didn’t make a swatch, because my actual work rarely matches my swatch, so I use experience, a little guesswork, and trial and error to determine size. After first attempt at the sole of this pattern turning out way too large, with suggested hook and going down one size on the pattern, I determined I needed to also go down a hook size. This worked out pretty well, still just a tad larger than I wanted. ( i normally have to go down a pattern size, hook size or both, as I crochet on the loose side.)

Modifications: the only thing I modified in the pattern was to eliminate round 2 of the trim color. I liked how the slipper looked without it. (Didn’t really see that round two didn’t go over the toe box, so maybe I do need to add it on for a better fit.) :)

After the recipient tried on the slippers, I decided to add on the second round of the border color.
