This pattern was so cute, I couldn’t resist giving it a go. Pattern was well written and easy to follow. I would rate it as advanced beginner. I must have skipped over the part that said to crochet the hat in the round continually without joining with a slip stitch. Anyway, it still worked out fine. I probably should have went down a hook size for the hat though, as it turned out to be more adult small than 1-3 yr. old size. ( I crochet on the loose side, so if you crochet more tightly the suggested hook size should be fine.) Since it’s cotton I’m sure I can shrink it a little in the dryer to fit my granddaughter.
