I followed the instructions for the brim from The Double Brim Coffee Beanie and after joining in the round I continued in rounds of 60 sc from the inside of the hat so the wrong side of the sc’s would be on the outside (just my preference) until hat measured 6.5” inches tall. I then decreased over the last 8 rounds:

sc 2 tog, sc 7 around
sc 2 tog, sc 6 around
sc 2 tog, sc 5 around
sc 2 tog, sc 4 around
sc 2 tog, sc 3 around
sc 2 tog, sc 2 around
sc 2 tog, sc 1 around
sc 2 tog around

I used just over 1 skein of Vanna’s Choice yarn.

Weave end through top and cinch closed.
