This one’s gonna take awhile with 54 granny squares, 5 rounds each, color change every round. Also the yarn is very slick and hard to keep knotted. Will knot and weave in ends and keep my fingers crossed. Yarn is very soft, but as often is, the trade off is splitty yarn. I’m hoping the beautiful colors make up for the troublesome yarn.
Since last night, I’ve completed 9 of the 54 squares, but need to weave in ends.
Just a heads up, the pattern does not include a color scheme. It tells you which colors were used, but not the color order for the granny squares. If you’re ambitious you could figure them all out from the pics on the Ravelry page for the pattern.
I am using all of the colors suggested except I decided on cream instead of white. The last round of all of my squares is in cream.
I am making 9 squares each of 6 different color combos as follows:(inside of square to outside of square) then adding the last round in cream.
Peach,Walnut, Blush, Mocha
Mocha, Salmon, Walnut, Peach

All squares completed. Probably going to work on a couple more projects before I start blocking and assembly.

Finished everything last week except weaving in ends. Gonna have to be in the mood for that-especially since it turned out too small for me. Need to find someone teeny tiny to give it to.
Way too tight for me. I’m going to take apart and figure out something else. Possibly a different join or something completely different where i can add a backing and not weave in ends.

My granddaughter tried it on and she wants it. I need to weave in ends and add bell sleeves as per her request. I plan to add it to her Christmas presents this year.

Coming along nicely. Finished the bell sleeves and border around sides bottom and neck. Now to weave in all of the pesky ends. Takes forever with securing knots on this slippery yarn!

So happy to be be finished with this cardigan. I left it unfinished I realized it was going to be way too small for me. When I showed it to my granddaughter she said she wanted it and asked for bell sleeves. I added the sleeves from the Valentina sweater by fiorelila.com.
