Pattern is by Lori Carson. She has other patterns on Ravelry, but this one currently is on Etsy only.

7/18/17 Started on the back panel first. Beg. chain of 95.
Finished over 30 rows of the back panel.

7/19/17 Completed back panel, 48 rows. Back panel measures 17.5” wide and 25” long. I added 48 stitches across the top of the back panel to match the front.
Completed front panel. Beg Chain of 70. Followed directions for rows 1-24 for the first half of the front then repeated for second half. MODIFICATIONS: In the increase rows, I increased by 1 stitch instead of 2 for the neckline. I am not using the choker part, so I didn’t want the v-neck to be as deep. Front panel measures 17.5” wide and 23.5” long from top of shoulder to bottom, and 18.5” long from center of v-neck to bottom.
24 stitches across the top of each half of the front.
Using stitch markers I pinned the sides and shoulders of the front and back together leaving armholes and neck opening. I left 44 stitches (22 each side) open for the armholes. (I might need to adjust this once the sleeves are complete.) For the top of the shoulder I pinned about 7 rows (3”) in. I didn’t pin in as far as directions since I adjusted for the v-neck I didn’t need to pin as far to keep the sweater from falling off my shoulders.

7/20/17 Sleeves: Measured for sleeves: 23.5” (I have long arms) 33 rows by 76 stitches.

7/21/17 Finished one sleeve, waiting for another skein of yarn to arrive to finish second sleeve. I single crocheted the front and back panels together. Thicker seam than sewing, but easier to rip out if I need to redo. Slip stitched the sleeve to armhole. Took out slip stitches and single crocheted sleeve to armhole with a J hook this time so the armhole would be less tight. For the cuff, I crocheted it directly to the end of the sleeve using an H hook. Attach yarn, Initial ch 10, * sc down chain (9sc) slip stitch across to next to ridge (2 ss), turn 1 sc in each sc (9sc), Repeat from* around to end and seam. 35 rows of sc.

7/25/17 Received yarn and finished second sleeve.

Overall fit is good. This is a very thick and warm sweater! Anyway, I’m thinking I should have used maybe a J or K hook to make it a little less bulky, only so I would be able to wear it more here in Texas. With the weight, the sleeves are long enough without the bands, so I will probably fold them over to make up for the extra length. The design of the sweater with the choker attached is so cool, but I can’t stand things around my neck, so I opted out of the choker.
The pattern is clear and easy to understand. You may need some trial and error to figure out your own sizing. I had to make minor adjustments. The pattern was pretty close to the sizing I needed. I tend to have to tweak here and there for personal preference and tension. Such is the nature of garments made with yarn. You really don’t know how well it will fit until it’s all done. Gauge would have been helpful as well as seaming instructions in more detail. I’m an experienced crocheter, so not so much a problem for me, but less experienced might need a little more explanation.
Reattached sleeve to armhole using a J hook and sc. Feels much better. Added the band directly to the bottom of the sleeve. H hook and 35 rows of 9sc. Works great. The sleeves still feel really heavy. I might need to close up the neckline a couple more stitches on each side to account for how much the sleeves pull on the neckline.
