I used an I hook and chained a smaller amount to achieve similar size blanket with thicker yarn. I used Red Heart Strata Pattern Stripes, color 38572 Bambino. This yarn was included in in a large lot of yarn I purchased on ebay. The colors are pretty, but it’s not soft. I wanted to use it up, so I decided to try the pattern linked above. The pattern is fast and easy. I would make it again, but with a softer lighter weight yarn.
