I made a basic double crochet beanie in a 2-5 year old size. (Increase until 5.25” flat circle, continue until bottom of hat is 6.25” to 6.5” from center).
Next step is to turn hat inside out (because you will be flipping cuff up) and follow instructions from the Unforgettable Hat (linked above) for the ribbing, except ch 17 to start.
