2nd time to make this hat. great variation on a basic hdc hat.
Yarn I used is a light worsted weight similar to Caron Simply Soft. Followed pattern through row 15, skipped rows 16-18, followed row 19 and crocheted row 20, 2 times. Total of 18 rows vs. 20 I crochet a little looser than average and my stitches tend to be a little taller than average as well.
