Round 1: with pink, 8 hdc in magic circle
Round 2: 2 hdc in each hdc, (16 hdc)
Round 3: hdc, 2hdc, repeat around (24 hdc)
Round 4: hdc, hdc, 2hdc, repeat around (32 hdc)
Round 5 & 6: hdc in each hdc around
Rounds 7-switch to white, hdc in each hdc around
Rounds 8-11: switch to green, hdc in each hdc around
Round 12: sc, skip one stitch, 3dc, skip one stitch, repeat around
Weave in ends. With black yarn, embroider the seeds on the pink area of the hat.
Hat crown measures 3.75” across and length is 4.25”. This will fit a larger preemie to a small newborn. I crochet a little on the loose side, so if you crochet tight or want the hat to fit a larger newborn, maybe go up a hook size or add an extra round of increases.
