Notes

Making this in front loop only slip stitch, increasing one stitch at the beginning of each row. Technique for the slip stitch garter is here: http://ayarnifiedlife.wordpress.com/garter-stitch/

Hold both yarns together.

Oct 3: Finished rows 1- 55. Measures 20.5” from bottom point to center top and 31” across the top.

Thoughts: This is really thick, maybe too thick? Also, I’m thinking this may be be too long by the time I get it wide enough. Maybe I should have increased by two stitches per row? Homespun by itself might be thick enough or maybe Homespun Thick N Quick?
Going to see it through and add about 30 more rows. Hoping for about 35” top to bottom and 48” across.

Finished at 85 stitches across, added buttons on the inside to attach the ends and a tassel at the point. Finished measurements 46” wide across top (widest part) and 32” long (top to point.)

I am tall, but but narrow. The shawl fits me fine, but is a little long. I think increasing two stitches per row would work better.
