Working on this on and off. My granddaughter loves My Little Ponies. Kind of hard on the eyes. I ordered the graph on Etsy and had to enlarge it. Normally I do graphs without my contacts in because I’m nearsighted, but the squares were just too small even without my contacts in. I also adjusted the graph so each larger block was 12 stitches wide x 13 stitches tall to adjust for my single crochet being slightly wider than it is tall. Here is a great site to make your own graph paper: http://www.incompetech.com/graphpaper/asymmetric/
What I do is print the graph paper, then put the graph paper in my printer and copy the pattern onto the graph paper.

Resumed September 14- This is definitely not my favorite thing to do. A better graph would help. Worked on it a couple days and then stopped to complete a few other projects.

Oct 17- resumed again, I will finish!
Oct 19- Finished all of the graph part, only 37 rows of background to go plus border.
Oct 20- The end is near! Only the border and blocking to go.
Oct 21- wanted to get a pic before adding the border. I used up leftover skeins I had of the gray for the background. Just realized upon taking the photo that one section was a bit darker gray than the rest.(Unless someone spilled something on it when I wasn’t looking.) Thank goodness its for my granddaughter and not a customer. I would cry if I had to rip out that far back!
Oct 22- Finished!!! Added this border:
Round 1: sc around, 3sc in corners, in gray
Round 2: 3dc, ch1, skip 3, rpt and 3dc, ch 2, 3dc in corners in Light Pink
Round 3: sc in ch 1 space, ch 3, rpt and sc, ch 2, sc in corners in gray
Round 4: 3dc, ch1, in chain 3 space, rpt and 3dc, ch 2, 3dc in corners in dark piink
Round 5: Rpt round 3 in gray
Round 6: slip stitch, 6dc in ch 3 space, rpt and slip stitch, 10dc in corners in gray

Debating if I should add a maybe a flower applique over the darker gray patch to make it less noticeable. After some suggestions from my fellow crocheters at The Crochet Lounge, I decided to add a rainbow, and clouds to cover the darker gray and add ‘MAKENZIE“ to the bottom to balance the top.

Oct 23- Made the rainbow and clouds appliques

Oct 24- Sewed the appliques on. Just need to make the letter appliques and sew on.

Nov 17- Crocheted all the letters

Nov 19- Sewed on the letters-FINISHED! :)
