Thanks to Christine Longe at Lakeview cottage Kids Blog for this super cute free pattern! This pattern was well written and very easy to follow. I followed pattern through row 8, then altered as follows due to my hat being a little short:
Round 9: repeat row 5
Round 10: sc in first stitch and in each stitch around
Round 11:sc in first stitch, front post sc in next stitch, repeat around
Round 12: sc in each sc and front post sc in each front post sc of previous round
Finish off
Followed pattern for leaves as written.
