Notes

This stitch with the cotton yarn makes a great texture for gentle exfoliating.

Pattern uses slip stitch front loop only (ssflo), corner to corner. IMPORTANT: Crochet loosely so hook will be able to get into stitches.

row 1: Start with ch 2, 2 ssflo in 2nd chain from hook, turn
row 2: 2 ssflo in both stitches, turn (4 ssflo)
row 3: 2 ssflo in 1st stitch, ssflo in next two stitches, 2 ssflo in last stitch, turn (6 ssflo)
row 4 to row ?: 2 ssflo in first stitch, ssflo in each stitch across to next to last stitch, 2 ssflo in last stitch, turn
Continue increasing in this manner until desired measurement. ( I increased to 50 stitches 10” corner to corner. This makes a about a 7.25” square. For a larger washcloth continue increasing to desired measurement before starting decrease rows.
Decrease rows:
Next row to end: skip first stitch, ssflo to next to last stitch, skip last stitch
When you get to last two stitches, ssflo in 2nd stitch and tie off, weave in ends
Block if desired.
