Stash busting my Wool Ease Thick and Quick super bulky yarn. Something easy I can work on at night.

On hold for now. I’m not sure how this is going to come together or if I have enough yarn to finish. Have to do some planning before I continue.

This is going to be soooo close! I’m really trying to only use stash yarn for this. Hoping it doesn’t look too crazy! Some of the colors I only had enough for one center.

All the centers are made. I have enough Loops and Threads Charisma for last round, but might need to pair it with a matching worsted weight to make it similar in thickness to the Wool Ease Thick and Quick.

01-01-2024

I just wasn’t feeling the 4 random colored centers so I decided to purchase 2 skeins of Denim so I will 4 centers each of 6 different colors. I wanted to
Only use stash, but I also wanted a blanket I would love, so although it’s not completely a stash buster, I’m happy I used up a lot of stash.

01-02-2024

All squares are finished. Had to frog another project to get the Fisherman color for the last round. I’m satisfied with the layout, so I will block the squares before seaming and adding border.

01-10-2024

All squares are joined. Used some Michael’s yarn I had in my stash that is very close to WET&Q Fisherman. It’s a bit thinner, so I used a 10mm hook for the join.

01-11-2024

Finished weaving in ends. All done and this thing is heavy- kind of like weighted blanket!
