Notes

So, I actually didn’t read the pattern, just went by the chart. Much faster for me. Well thought out design and the top edge is straight. (One of my shawl pet peeves- I like a straight edge!) This is working up really quickly and after a few rows, the pattern just flows. You just have to pay attention to the placement of the stitches. I did have to frog a few mistakes, but I was binge watching Stranger Things while making it, so that was a little bit of a distraction! I highly recommend this pattern!

As for the yarn, it’s very soft and love the color. i’ve had this yarn for quite awhile now and am happy I found the perfect project for it.

The design is working out well with my chosen yarn. For the given measurements, I will need to work an additional 6 rows if my calculations are correct. (At row 29 my shawl is measuring 20” x 41”). The yarn I’m using is thinner (worsted weight 4) than the recommended yarn, so I expected I would need to either go up in hook size or work additional rows. I liked the fabric worked in a 10mm hook, so I went with that and crochet additional rows.

Ended up making 39 rows.
