My interpretation of a quilt design in crochet.

Started with mustard pink and gray, but didn’t like it. Switched the gray for cream. Much better!

6/29/17 Four of seven rows complete.

7/6/17 Update: All rows complete and joined started border last night.

Joined with my zig zag method: slip stitch into corner right square, chain 2, slip stitch into corner of left square, continue slip stitch chain 2, alternating squares and placing the slip stitches between the dc groups.

Special stitch: 6dc together over two stitches: {yo, insert hook in stitch, yo, pull through stitch, yo, pull through two loops} Repeat 2 more times all in same stitch (4 loops left on hook) Then repeat {} 3 times in next stitch, but last yo you will pull through all 7 loops on hook.

Border: Join yarn between any dc group and slip stitch, {chain 4, 6dc together over 2nd and 3rd chain from hook, chain 1, slip stitch in between next two dc groups} repeat around

Corners: same as in { } but initial slip stitch will be in the corner, not between dc groups and final slip stitch will be in the same stitch as initial slip stitch.

I will try to remember to add close-up pics to show the joining and border.
