Notes

Heavenly Fiber from a local yarn shop. Lost the label. Hand dyed pastel purples and pinks. Sock weight merino/silk/cashmere blend.

Divided into two balls so I can work back and forth as I go.

I’ve made slippers before, but these are my first pair of socks to make, I believe.

These socks are going to be too big even though my gauge matched and I deleted 3 rows from the gusset. Maybe I can shrink them in the dryer or felt them? I’m still working on the heel which took me forever to figure out. It’s not that difficult, I just wasn’t getting where the starting point was supposed to be. Anyway, I’m about half done with the heel on both socks and just want to be finished with them!

O.K. Not so bad after I got the heels done. Modified cuff to back loop sc attach as you go. Ch. 6, sc in 2nd chain from hook and each to end ( 5 sc), slip stitch into next 2 stitches of sock, sc in each sc of previous row (5 sc), ch 1, sc back down to sock (5 sc) Repeat between till you have gone all the way around the top of the sock then turn sock inside out and slip stitch the rows together.
