Thanks to Elizabeth Trantham at Crochet in Color for this awesome free pattern. The pattern is a simple dc beanie with extra rounds and the ribbing technique is so cool. I hadn’t tried this technique before and I love it! It makes the hat look like a combo of crochet and knit. This is my new favorite slouch hat pattern! I used the same yarn and colorway as Elizabeth and I have to say I love it too! Great color and drape.
I followed the pattern as written and when I got to the ribbing I did downsize to a G hook, as I crochet on the loose side. It turned out perfectly. I highly recommend this pattern if you are looking for a slouch hat pattern and it’s FREE!
