Notes

Tip: Make your ch 3 at the beginning of each row a little loose or the edge will draw tight and your stitches won’t fit in the top of the chain.

Thanks to Kathy of Elk Studio for an awesome pattern! Followed as written with the exception of the last row of edging. Substituted slip stitch, ch 2 in each ch 1 space of previous round. (I was afraid I was not going to have enough yarn to finish the round as written.)

This pattern makes a thick warm shawl, yet adds a feminine touch with the lacy details. I finished this over 3 days. It’s a fairly quick project with beautiful results and makes great gifts! The suggested Lion Brand Heartland yarn is perfect for this shawl.
