This is a Test Knit :)

I decided to do a slip stitch edge on the garter stitch border. I’m slipping the first stitch of each row plwise wyfwd, and then knitting into the back loop of the last st of each row.

9/10/11 20 rows into the pattern, and I’m really enjoying knitting this. A great, well written pattern. I’m also enjoying this yarn. It’s soft and springy, and has good stitch definition.

9/12/12 Divided for armholes on row 43.

I love stockinette stitch fabric, so doing a project where reverse stockinette stitch is the right side of the fabric, is new to me. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it. Not sure if I like it or not. We’ll see when it’s done.

9/15/11 Bound off hem sts, now onto sleeve!

I wish I had figured a way to keep the slip stitch edge on the curved garter hem, but hence, I was to lazy to take the time, plus I didn’t know if moving the edge decrease over a stitch would interfere with the curved look. If it was not a test knit I would have tried it. Next time I knit this great pattern, I will!

9/19/11 First sleeve done! 40 rounds for the 9” required for this size. The pattern has an option for a straight sleeve or a puff sleeve. I did the straight sleeve option.

Recipient was very shy, I hope to get pictures soon. It fit well. Sorry about the lighting. It’s pretty rainy here right now, so I couldn’t take it outside. It’s actually beautiful in person. Some of my best knitting!
