This yarn seems more like a heavy fingering or sport weight than a DK weight yarn.

Cast on 23 stitches. This is proving to me why the mask needs to be knit with worsted weight yarn - DK is just too thin for filling in all of those holes between the stitches. It’s meshy even when knit tightly, so that means I’ll need to make a matching back for it. Used 22.1 yards.

For backing I cast on 19 stitches, knit flat, and used 6 grams of yarn, or 16.6 yards of yarn.
