The pattern is easy to memorize. Each row is approximately 1” tall. It’s actually slightly less, but nevertheless, I plan to work 34 rows before adding the border.

After 17 rows (which I was expecting to be an approximate midway point), the blanket only measures 14”.
Now my plan is to make 40 rows

Past my personal deadline, but still have plenty of time to finish by this coming weekend.

I originally had too many stitches along the raw sides and it looked wonky, so I pulled out 2.5 rounds of the border and redid it with fewer stitches. Now I love it! It should look great after I block it.
