Notes

Flower Child was love on first sight because this was the ideal project for a bunch of pure silk yarn I got from a knitting friend.

I was not amused to see that ten pieces had to be joined by sewing and so I developed a construction where only short underarm seems were necessary.

I had no idea whether the yarn was sufficient so I decided to work the flower panels in the other color.

The modified Flower Child was worked in two pieces which were connected with three-needle bind off. Shape was formed with short rows. After connecting front and back sleeves and edges had been worked in round.

I’m not an avid stockinette knitter so I worked a slightly structured pattern.

Length and width increased up to 15 cm and now I have a knee length dress.
Nevertheless I got many compliments from people who know me and athers who don’t.

Finally I visualized the “making of” in a short video
