My version of the Hypernova pattern is probably one of those few items which are not made from Wollmeise.
I brought the yarn with me from my 16-days-trip to Iceland and it was bought at Ullarselid in Hvanneyri. The yarn is probably one of the rarest in the world for it was handdied with different plants which only grow in Iceland. Some sorts of Alchemillas from different Icelandic regions as well as Anthriscus and Deschampsia.
The growing period in Iceland is very short and we saw some lovely tulips and narcissus in june.
The yarn is a little rough at the beginning but blooms after washing and will get fluffy.
I was looking for a matching pattern which will not bury the fine colors of the yarn and skipped Revontuli for the benefit of Hypernova.
I began with needle size 3mm and increased to 4mm in several steps.
At the end of the shawl I used up some leftovers from my Icelandic Moss Vest, because the tiny strands only have 5g per colour.
It was difficult to make pictures of the shawl, because I had no matching space and so I appended the cloth to our wall. Usually woolen textiles are sticking very well but the rough November wind baffled every effort to get good pictures.
