Notes

The idea was inspired by Canal Grande, and I took the impression from the project fotos. My latest projects show me using up yarns which bob up and down in my stash.
These yarns were the next in the row to be depleted.
The colors are like in the pictures I took from this website and from Shutterstock, copyright Ian Barnes.

It’s a versatile pattern which allows every project to be unique, great idea of the designer.

A friend was crouching why I knitted so much shawls and stoles recently. She is right: I’ll check how far my leftover yarns will suffice and then hopefully I can make a poncho out of the rectangle.
Cast-on was 233 sts which I distributed into chevrons of different sizes

When I finished the poncho I used up every thread.
First the rectangle was sewn together.
I knitted the sleeves (25cm) seperately and sewed them to the folding lines.
Fortunately I managed to have a small leftover to cover the hemline with I-Cord.

I washed the rectangle in lukewarm water (handwashing) and the DROPS-yarn made the water inky like hell.

I’m not at home at the moment but I know another skein of DROPS No 8 being in my stash. I will use this for a turtleneck collar.

A picture when worn is to follow.
